Athlete Discipline (sport & event):

Gravel / MTB in the Life Time Grand Prix

What do you love about your sport?:

I love having a reason to get outside everyday, and a chance to push myself against high level competition on difficult race courses.

What events are you most looking forward to for 2024 and why?:

Unbound 200 and Leadville 100. These races are some of the most high profile races in North America. I look forward to showing what I can do on a big stage when everyone is in the best shape possible. These two races also have very challenging courses, this means you are not only battling your competition but also the terrain.

What sponsors are supporting you in 2024?:

Carbs Fuel, Cannondale, Pirelli, and Capo

Why did you decide to be sponsored by Carbs?:

I like the simplicity of the Carbs product and I think a more affordable, higher carb fuel is the future.

Tell us about your first experience consuming a Carbs Fuel product:

The first time I had a Carbs Fuel gel I was asked to guess the flavor, I couldn't quite put my finger on it but I knew it tasted good!

Why should others give Carbs Fuel a try?:

Simply because Carbs Fuel gels are a great tasting, affordable, high carb gel.

What's the craziest thing you've consumed as fuel during sport that's non-traditional?:

Baguette, you could get a fresh baguette for two euro in France. Lots of carbs!

What are your 3 favorite sources of carbs? (Other than Carbs Fuel products). Doesn't have to be sport nutrition related:

Pancakes, pasta, and fig bars on the bike.

What would your hobby be if you didn't have your sport and why?:

I love fishing, also a great way to get outside, relax, and enjoy Colorado!

What's your worst B.C era (Before Carbs Fuel) bonk story?:

Its tough to remember a good bonk story for me, maybe that is a good thing and means I am getting better at fueling! But last year I had one of my worst bonks ever at the end of BWR Kansas where I had to stop of the side of the trail for a couple minutes and recompose myself. Stopping in a race is quite rare for me.
